About Me!

I am a senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), studying painting and business. Originally from Mansfield, Massachusetts, I grew up interested in drawing with graphite, until experimenting with paint and color as a junior in high school. Since starting at SCAD in 2020, I have learned how to combine my passion for technique and realism with my interest in painting about feelings, thoughts, experiences, and other intangible subjects. I also have been a commissioned artist for four years and am beginning my career as a live wedding painter in 2024.

Artist’s Statement:

The main goal behind my work is that it will always be evolving as long as my life experiences do. I am interested in many different creative approaches, from realism to abstraction, portraits to florals, and canvas to panels. When I was younger, I focused on realistic graphite drawings, but was always experimenting with side projects. It wasn’t until college when I started taking painting and color seriously. Since being at SCAD, my work has gone through many phases. I always thought I would find her one “thing”, until realizing there is no point in limiting yourself to just one. I believe that your interests, experiences, and perspectives are constantly changing, so the way you creatively express them should change as well. The themes of my work have evolved from expressing human feelings through figures, to expressing human experiences through spaces and abstraction.
